We Earn Commissions on Some Links
CompanionRank participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This income helps fund our testing and keeps the site free. It does not influence our rankings or reviews.
01 What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL. When you click it and then make a purchase on the partner's site, we receive a small commission — typically 10–30% of the sale price, paid by the merchant, not by you. Your price is identical whether you use our link or navigate to the site directly.
This is a standard, FTC-recognized way for independent content creators to monetize their work without charging readers. Millions of review sites, YouTube creators, and journalists use this model.
02 How We Disclose on This Site
We disclose affiliate relationships in the following ways across CompanionRank:
- A site-wide disclosure on every page footer
- An asterisk (*) on any ranking card title where a commission relationship exists
- A note in the promo code section: "*Affiliate commission earned. Doesn't affect rankings or opinions."
- This dedicated Affiliate Disclosure page, linked from the footer
03 Current Affiliate Partners
The following apps featured in our rankings have active affiliate relationships with CompanionRank as of July 2026:
📌 Our Editorial Independence Pledge
- No app can purchase a higher ranking. Rankings are determined solely by our testing rubric.
- We will rank a non-affiliate app above an affiliate app if testing warrants it — and we have.
- We will include apps with zero affiliate relationship if they deserve to be on the list.
- We will disclose every new affiliate relationship within 30 days of it becoming active.
- If an affiliate relationship ends, disclosures remain on historical content for accuracy.
- Our scoring rubric (face consistency, photorealism, conversation depth, value) is applied identically to all apps regardless of commercial relationship.
04 FTC Compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). If you are located in the EU or UK, equivalent disclosures are made pursuant to applicable consumer protection law.
